Each applicant pool is unique, so timing can often be a major factor. Be sure to highlight your experience and training that is relevant to the position in the resume or application. If there’s an application involved, answer the questions directly. Keep building your skills if you’re not working in a library by volunteering and taking training. You can always ask the places you’ve applied what kept you out of the interview pool. It may help you hone your skills for the next application round.
