It makes much more sense to find a way to talk about the stage of life than it does the particular years when one was born. Libraries need to be considering the reality that there will be many more older people, and they will be living much longer than in the past. The adults who land in midlife in a few years will not be boomers – we should look ahead and create something a little more sustainable than initiatives with the label “boomer”. We’re not immortal.
